Welcome to RecKeeper, a recommendation tracking application operated by Yendra Digital LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "Service").

By using RecKeeper, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide to Us

Account Information:

• Email address (required for account creation)
• Authentication credentials (password or social sign-in tokens)

Recommendation Data:

• Recommendation titles and categories
• Notes and ratings
• Status information (want to try, tried, loved, etc.)
• Location information (optional, manually entered)
• Names of people who recommended items to you

Contact Data:

• Names and relationships of people you add as recommenders

• Device information (type, operating system, version)
• App usage statistics
• Performance data (crashes, errors)

We do NOT collect:

• Payment card information (handled by Apple/Google)
• Social security numbers or government IDs
• Biometric data
• Health information
• Contact lists or phone numbers from your device
• Photos or media from your device
• GPS or background location data

2. How We Use Your Information

2.1 Core Service Functionality

• Create and maintain your user account
• Store and sync your recommendations across devices
• Organize your recommendations by category, status, and contact
• Enable offline access to your data

2.2 Service Improvement

• Analyze app usage to improve features
• Diagnose and fix technical issues
• Optimize app performance

2.3 What We Do NOT Do

• Sell your personal information to third parties
• Use your data for advertising or marketing
• Share your recommendations publicly without permission
• Send promotional emails (unless you opt in)

3. How We Share Your Information

3.1 Service Providers

We share your information with trusted third-party service providers:

Google Firebase (Google LLC)

• Services: Authentication, Cloud Firestore database
• Data Shared: Email address, user ID, recommendation data
• Location: United States
• Privacy Policy: firebase.google.com/support/privacy

RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.)

• Services: In-app purchase and subscription management
• Data Shared: Anonymous user ID, purchase and subscription status
• Privacy Policy: revenuecat.com/privacy

Payment Processors

• Apple App Store (iOS purchases and subscriptions)
• Google Play Store (Android purchases and subscriptions)

Note: We do NOT receive your payment card details — these are processed directly by the payment provider.

3.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to valid legal process.

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Where We Store Data

Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers located in the United States. Firebase is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and complies with GDPR requirements.

4.2 How We Protect Your Data

• Encryption in Transit: All data uses SSL/TLS encryption (HTTPS)
• Encryption at Rest: Firebase encrypts all stored data
• Authentication: Secure token-based access
• Access Controls: Only you can access your data via your authenticated account

4.3 Data Retention

• Active Accounts: Data retained as long as account is active
• Deleted Accounts: Data permanently deleted within 30 days
• Purchase Records: Transaction records kept for 7 years for tax compliance

5. Your Privacy Rights

5.1 Access and Portability

You have the right to:

• Access all your personal data in the app
• Request a complete copy by emailing admin@yendra.com

5.2 Correction

You can edit your recommendation data anytime in the app.

5.3 Deletion ("Right to be Forgotten")

You can:

• Delete individual recommendations in the app
• Delete your entire account via Settings → Delete Account
• Request deletion by emailing admin@yendra.com

Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

6. Children's Privacy

RecKeeper is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do NOT knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at admin@yendra.com and we will promptly delete it.

7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights:

Request categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect.

7.2 Right to Delete

Request deletion of your personal information.

7.3 Right to Opt-Out of Sale

We do NOT sell your personal information. We never have, and we never will.

7.4 How to Exercise Your Rights

Email admin@yendra.com with "CCPA Request" in the subject line. We will respond within 45 days.

8. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or Switzerland, you have rights under GDPR:

9. International Users

RecKeeper is operated from the United States. If you are located outside the US, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.

10. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use minimal tracking:

• Authentication Tokens: To keep you logged in (stored locally)
• Local Storage: For offline functionality (stored locally)

We do NOT use:

• Advertising cookies
• Third-party tracking pixels
• Cross-site tracking
• Social media trackers

11. Subscriptions and Purchases

RecKeeper offers optional in-app purchases to unlock additional features:

• Annual Subscription: An auto-renewable subscription billed annually. The subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's account settings.
• Lifetime Purchase: A one-time, non-recurring purchase.

Purchase and subscription data is managed by RevenueCat and processed by Apple or Google. We store only your subscription status (active or inactive) to determine which features to unlock. We do not store payment card numbers, billing addresses, or other financial details.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes:

• We will update the "Last Updated" date
• For material changes, we will notify you via prominent notice in the app
• Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
